This Cookie Policy explains how Buildaur LLC ("Buildaur," "we," "us," or "our") uses cookies and similar technologies on buildaur.app and within Buildaur-powered builders embedded on third-party websites. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.
1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device by websites you visit. They are widely used to make websites work efficiently, remember preferences, analyze usage, and support authentication. Similar technologies include local storage, session storage, pixels, beacons, and SDKs that perform comparable functions.
2. Categories of Cookies We Use
2.1 Strictly Necessary.
These cookies are essential for the Service to function. They support session management, authentication, security, fraud prevention, load balancing, and the basic operation of an embedded builder (for example, retaining your in-progress design as you navigate). You cannot opt out of strictly necessary cookies because the Service will not work without them.
2.2 Functional.
These cookies remember preferences (such as language, currency, or saved configurations), recognize returning users, and enable enhanced features. Disabling them may degrade the experience.
2.3 Analytics and Performance.
Buildaur does not currently deploy analytics, error-monitoring, or product-instrumentation cookies on buildaur.app or within an embedded builder. This category exists in this Policy so that, if Buildaur later adds an analytics, error-monitoring, or session-replay provider, the relevant cookies are already covered by the consent banner and your prior consent choice continues to apply. Any new provider added under this category will be disclosed on our Subprocessor List and will be gated by the "Analytics & performance" toggle in the cookie preferences modal.
2.4 Payment Processing.
Stripe sets cookies on checkout pages to facilitate payment, fraud detection, and dispute prevention. These cookies are governed by Stripe's privacy and cookie policies in addition to ours.
2.5 Marketing.
Buildaur does not currently deploy marketing, retargeting, or cross-site behavioural advertising cookies on buildaur.app. As with the analytics category above, this section exists so that any future conversion-tracking or campaign-attribution provider is already covered by the consent banner and the "Marketing" toggle. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising as those terms are defined under California law.
3. Third Parties
Cookies set by third-party providers Buildaur actively uses today:
- Stripe, Inc. — payment processing and fraud prevention on subscription checkout pages and any Stripe-platform merchant checkout flows. See Stripe's Cookies Policy.
- Hostinger International Ltd. — the VPS, MariaDB database, and transactional email infrastructure that powers buildaur.app. Server-side session cookies (such as
PHPSESSIDand the Buildaur per-browser upload session id) are set by the application running on Hostinger infrastructure.
Buildaur does not currently use a CDN, third-party analytics provider, error-monitoring provider, or marketing-CRM provider on buildaur.app or within the embedded builders. Conditional integrations a Business Client connects on their own dashboard (such as Squarespace, Shopify, or Goshippo) are listed on the Subprocessor List; cookies those providers set on the Business Client's own domain are governed by the Business Client's site and the provider's own policies.
Each provider's use of cookies is governed by its own policies.
4. Your Choices
4.1 Consent Banner.
Where required by law (for example, in the EEA, UK, and certain U.S. states), we display a consent banner on first visit. You can accept all, reject all (other than strictly necessary), or customize your choices. You can change your choices at any time using the "Cookie Preferences" link in our footer.
4.2 Browser Controls.
Most browsers let you block, delete, or be notified of cookies. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may break parts of the Service. Help pages for common browsers describe how to manage cookies (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge).
4.3 Global Privacy Control.
We honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal as a valid opt-out request, where applicable.
4.4 Opt-Out Tools.
You can opt out of certain analytics and advertising cookies through industry tools such as the Network Advertising Initiative (optout.networkadvertising.org), the Digital Advertising Alliance (optout.aboutads.info), and (in the EU) the European Interactive Digital Advertising Alliance (youronlinechoices.eu).
5. Cookies in Embedded Builders
When a Buildaur builder is embedded on a Merchant's website, the Merchant remains responsible for the cookie consent and privacy disclosures presented on its own site. Buildaur sets only the cookies and storage strictly necessary to operate the builder (session and configuration state), unless we and the Merchant separately agree otherwise.
6. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. The "Effective Date" reflects the latest version. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
